St Patrick’s College has been an IEB school from its inception. The IEB (Independent Examination Board) is a private Examination Board accredited by the state quality controller, Umalusi. The IEB is the only independent examination board that examines the National Senior Certificate (NSC) in South Africa.
The following subjects are offered at Matric level:
English Home Language
Afrikaans First additional Language; isiXhosa First Additional Language
Life Orientation
Core Mathematics; Mathematics Literacy.
History; Geography.
Life Sciences; Physical Sciences.
Accounting; Business Studies; Information Technology; Engineering Graphics and Design; Computer Applications Technology and Visual Arts.
Pupils also have the opportunity to study Advanced Programme Mathematics.
The School places emphasis on the daily Christian walk and pupils are regularly reminded of the Christian calendar and the rich traditions of the Christian faith.
Our College pupils are all required to complete 20 hours of community service a year. This instills a sense of community, service and responsibility for our fellow citizens.

Sport plays a vital role in the holistic nurture of individual pupils from Grade R to Matric. With the core belief that sport cultivates each pupil’s confidence and character through physical and mental incentive, as well as exposure to teamwork and leadership, we encourage pupils to participate in as wide a variety of sports as possible. A permanent 2.5 km trail-run track allows pupils to run to their hearts’ desire.

Born from the St Patrick's Convent; St Patrick's College was started by a group of courageous parents with a vision of an independent school providing quality education to our local community and surroundings. With a strong Christian ethos and the backing of both ISASA and the IEB St Patrick's College continues to "strive for the Highest". In 2023 we celebrated our school's 30th birthday.
At St Patrick's, we believe that learning doesn't only happen within the four walls of a classroom. Our lush campus is a living, breathing testament to this philosophy.
